Where numbers end, people begin

Piotr joined Consilium Krasiński in February 2017. Since then, he has participated in 37 company sale and merger processes. His work starts where the Excel sheet stops giving answers. When the board of a large corporation sits on the other side of the table, emotions often override cool logic. Piotr catches these moments and helps our clients maintain their footing. He doesn't believe in magic sales tricks, but in the hard observation of facts.

Last year, specifically in November 2023, we were working for the owner of a processing plant near Lodz. A buyer from the Netherlands tried to force a 16% price reduction through aggressive rhetoric during the third round of talks. Piotr prepared our client for these pressures a week earlier. The result was that the price dropped only by 2.8%, and the owner retained full control over the land. Such situations are everyday for us, not an exception. (By the way, Piotr rarely wears a tie because he believes it only builds unnecessary distance in difficult conversations).

A method based on observation

Piotr's work is primarily analyzing the interlocutor's profile before entering the room. We check how the other side reacted in the previous 4 projects we have information on. During the negotiations themselves, Piotr does not speak much. He focuses on gestures, breathing rate, and the tone of voice of business partners. During meeting breaks, we decide if it's time for concessions or the moment to hold firm to your amount. This is pure practice that avoids errors worth hundreds of thousands of PLN.

Piotr has 11 years of experience working with entrepreneurs who built their businesses from scratch. He understands that selling a company is not just a transfer into an account, but often saying goodbye to a life's work. That's why at Consilium Krasiński he ensures our clients feel confident at the table, even when 6 lawyers from a foreign fund sit opposite them. Recently, in May 2024, he helped close a transaction for a small logistics company where negotiations got stuck in a dead point for 14 days. A change in the way benefits were communicated was enough for both sides to return to signing documents.

Concrete support in Lodz

Most of our meetings take place in the office at 104 Piotrkowska Street, but Piotr often goes directly to our clients' production plants. He believes that to negotiate the price of machines or halls well, one must first see them with their own eyes. This approach allowed us in the last quarter to close 3 difficult processes with a result 12-14% better than our clients assumed at the start. If you feel that you are losing ground in talks with an investor, Piotr is the person who will help you regain control of the situation.
